PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compatibly secure the operating easiness for a car seat to be sprung up and secure its safety in the installed position. SOLUTION: A gate-form lever 16 having approximately a channel-shape in plan view is provided as an unlocking means for a spring-up locking mechanism 14 having a latch 30 capable of being engaged with a striker 28 and has a grip 16b at the front extremity of a seat cushion 18 such that it is exposed while the end 16a is pivoted on a seat cushion frame 40. The lever 16 is held so as to be biased to the grip lower position by the biasing force of a return spring 48, and the pullup operating direction acting against the biasing force of the return spring is made identical to the spring-up direction of the folding seat 12 as the unlocking operating direction by the gate-form lever, and also the lever is hindered from rotating at least beyond the unlocking position under the condition that the lever is partially engaged with a second stopper 61.
