PURPOSE: A locking apparatus for a trunk lid of a vehicle is provided to prevent movement of the trunk lid by locking the trunk lid in loading luggage larger than the space of a trunk. CONSTITUTION: A trunk lid locking device for a vehicle is composed of a ratchet(10) of which one end is fixed at a hinge arm mounted in a trunk lid and the other end is saw-toothed; a hinge bracket(13) of which a side is combined with the hinge arm and the other side with a vehicle body and having a guide groove, wherein a hook(13b) is rotatably pin-connected at the prescribed position near the guide groove; a pawl(20) rotatably pin-connected in the hinge bracket and having a fixing pin; and an elastic member(30) mounted at the pin-connection portion of the pawl to apply elastic force to the pawl.
