PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a service providing system for providing an interactive service by utilizing a mobile communication network. SOLUTION: The service providing system is provided with a broadcasting station 50 for providing a program broadcast service to a user via a receiver 70, and a server 30 for providing a data communication service to a user via a portable information terminal 10. The server 30 is provided with a portal site providing means 32 for providing information for displaying a portal site to the terminal 10, a user authentication means 34 for discriminating whether or not to provide information for displaying a program website to the user according to user identification information transmitted via the portal site, and a program website providing means 32 for providing a program website according to program identification information transmitted via the portal site when the authenticating result is positive.
