<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric pump for a liquid refrigerant of high reliability and efficiency. SOLUTION: A refrigerant pump 1 and an electric motor 10 are made independent, and in the state of connecting a driving shaft 3a of the refrigerant pump 1 and a rotating shaft 15 of the electric motor 10, the refrigerant pump 1 is mounted to the electric motor 10. At least one of the driving shaft 3a and rotating shaft 15 is provided with a shaft seal 19 for preventing the liquid refrigerant from leaking to the electric motor 10 side. The leakage of the liquid refrigerant from the refrigerant pump 1 side to the electric motor 10 side can thereby be positively prevented. Consequently, reliability is high, and there is no need to submerge the interior of the electric motor 10 in the liquid refrigerant, so that loss caused by rotational resistance when a rotor is rotated can be reduced, and the efficiency of the electric motor can be considerably improved.</p> |
