PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas/liquid separation apparatus in which the separation of a gas from a liquid is surely performed, the inner structure of a cylindrical vessel is simplified and an installation space is reduced. SOLUTION: The gas/liquid separation apparatus 1 is for treating a liquid to be treated, which is composed of a liquid and a gas contained in the liquid, to separate into the liquid and the gas. The apparatus 1 has the cylindrical vessel 2 having an axis line (a1 ) extending in the vertical direction, a gas discharge port 10a provided at the top wall 4 of the cylindrical vessel 2 for discharging the separated gas, a liquid discharge port 14a provided at the bottom wall 5 of the cylindrical vessel 2 for discharging the separated liquid and an introducing port 91 provided at the circumferential wall 3 of the cylindrical vessel 2 for introducing the liquid to be treated into the cylindrical vessel 2 to perform the gas/liquid separation by forming a reverse conical liquid surface (s) with the turning of the liquid to be treated along the inner circumferential surface of the cylindrical vessel 2.
