PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a forklift suitable for carrying a long material and a fork attachment for use in it. SOLUTION: The fork attachment 2 is removably fitted to the front side of a fork device 1 only if necessary such as carrying of a long material. In the fork attachment 2, vertically extending support members 33 are fixed to horizontal members 31, 32 having a length beyond the width of the fork device 1. Outside the support members 33, sub-forks 34 are positioned on the right and left outer sides of the main forks 15 in the state of being fitted to the fork device 1. At the upper and lower end parts of the support members 33, the attachment is removably fitted to the fork device 1.
