In a preferred embodiment the present invention features a composition and method of delivery comprising Glycosaminoglycans encapsulated in a liposomal delivery system for intraarticular administration for the treatment of osteoarthritis. In a more preferred embodiment the present invention features a composition and method of delivery comprising hyaluronic acid encapsulated in a liposomal delivery system for intraarticular administration for the treatment of osteoarthritis.
