<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a starting circuit and a lamp lighting device by miniaturizing the pulse transformer of the starting circuit for a high power lamp and reducing the calorific value thereof. SOLUTION: A plurality of primary windings 4 of the pulse transformer are connected in parallel, respective windings connected in parallel are contiguously arranged on and wound about the core 1 so that the coupling between the primary windings 4, and a secondary winding 2 is increased and the number of turns of the secondary winding 2 is decreased. Because the number of turns of the secondary winding 2 is decreased, the axial length of the pulse transformer can be decreased so that the pulse transformer can be miniaturized. Further, respective primary windings connected in parallel may be arranged on and wound about the core 1 so that, after the winding operation of one winding has been finished, the winding operation of next winding is started.</p> |
