PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable processing of receiving data which is executed properly, even if deterioration of a temporarily receiving state of transmission data occurs in an on-vehicle digital television receiver. SOLUTION: When a controller 5 determines that demodulated MPEG data of a hierarchical layer A are received normally, a display unit 8 reproduces the demodulates MPEG data of the layer A, together with a voice output unit 9; while when the MPEG data of the layer A is abnormal and a demodulated MPEG data of a hierarchical layer B is normal, the demodulated MPEG of this normal layer B is stored in a memory. Thus, a display unit 8 reproduces the demodulated MPEG data of the layer B together with the unit 9.
