PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylindrical lead acid storage battery in which the problem of the conventional battery is eliminated and has a stable performance by making small the fluctuation of the electrode plate thickness, while making constant the filling thickness of the active substance paste. SOLUTION: In the cylindrical lead acid storage battery, the thickness of the upper frame and the lower frame at the both side ends of the band-shape electrode plate grid is formed thicker than the lattice portions and the active substance paste is filled between the upper frame and the lower frame.
