METHOD FOR PREVENTING STEEL-CONCRETE COMPOSITE FROM CORROSION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preventing a steel-concrete composite from corrosion which uses the cured product of a resin composition that has high adhesiveness to both the steel and the concrete, strength and bendability and suffers from no crack and delamination of the resin even if it undergoes a load and a deformation in the interface, effecting in no water, saline and carbon dioxide invading in the interface so that the steel is prevented from corrosion and the concrete is prevented from neutralization; and enables to complete construction in a short time through a rapid curing reaction. SOLUTION: The method comprises coating the interface 7 and the peripheral zone 8 between the steel 6 and the concrete 5 with the cured product of a vinyl ester resin composition having an elongation at break of 10% or more and less than 150% to prevent the interface from being exposed to atmosphere.
