PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate and confirm a color proof, which is finished as desired, at desired time. SOLUTION: This device is equipped with an image data storage means 204 which stores image data of a plurality of colors needed for color proof generation by at least one line, an image recording means which reads pieces of image data of colors needed for the color proof generation out of the image data storage means at the same time and records the image data on a color photosensitive material, a look-up table 205 which stores light source driving data at respective pixel recording times corresponding to colors reproduced by combinations of the image data, a table data holding means 111 which hold a plurality of kinds of the light source driving data to be stored in the look-up table, a table data setting means 110 which selects some pieces of light source driving data held by the table holding means and sets them in the look-up table, and a table data specifying means 101 which specifies the table data that the table data setting means selects and sets.
