CELL VIABILITY ASSAY REAGENT

A reagent composition comprising two dyes (LDS 751; CAS# 181885-68-7 or 76433-29-9 and propidium-iodide CAS# 25535-16-4) for staining and selectively labelling cells. LDS 751 is a membrane permeating DNA-dye and stains all cells, whereas propidium iodide (PI) stains only damaged "leaky" cells. The dye composition allows a differentiation of viable and non-viable cells. The viability of the cells can be determined by counting the selectively stained cells by flow cytometry.
