<p>The invention relates to a boot for protecting the leg of a horse, especially for protecting tendons, ligaments, sesamoid bone and fetlock joint (F) of the rear section of the front legs (V) of jumpers. Said boot comprises an outer shell (2) from a rigid material with a middle section (3) associated with the back (R) of the respective leg (V) and extending along the leg (V). The inventive boot is characterized by an increased wearing comfort and allows for a maximum freedom of movement with yet optimum protection of the respective leg. To this end, the middle section (3) of the outer shell (2) is provided with a recess (8) in the topmost, when fastened on the leg (V) of the horse, edge area, said recess being filled with a flexible padding (12).</p> |
