PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical filter having excellent performances such as a reduction in reflection of a picture display device, a reduction in radiated infrared ray intensity, an improvement in color purity and so on and minimizing damage of a panel due to mechanical shock and local deterioration in the optical filter due to heat even when a plate of front sheet glass is removed and the optical filter is directly stuck to a display screen of the picture display device and to provide the picture display device provided with the excellent optical filter. SOLUTION: The optical filter having one or more layers containing spacers on a transparent supporting body and the picture display device using the optical filter are provided.
