<p>The assembly relates esp. to tunnel kiln trolleys whose volume is kept low in relationship to the volume of the trolley masonry. The core is defined by sheets of steel resistant to heat, or other materials effecting heat insulation. It is divided into a large insulating chamber and a pressure compensation chamber which is smaller. The insulating chamber has flat sheets arranged close together, or crinkled sheets, and a perforated, intermediate sheet is arranged between the two chambers. The pressure compensation chamber has openings leading to the exterior acting as an outlet for hot air or an inlet for cooling air.</p> |
