PURPOSE: A flow control valve of a power steering pump is provided to reduce noise by improving the shape of a guide bar with a spring inserted to improve the placing performance. CONSTITUTION: A flow control valve(50) of a power steering pump comprises a screw assembly(56) having a filter(52) and a first flow(54), a metal ball(58) disposed to the screw assembly, a guide bar(60) locating the metal ball, and a plunger having a spring(62) elastically supporting the guide bar within, with screwed to a power steering pump. The spring is inserted to the guide bar. The guide bar forms a rod(66) guiding forward and backward movement. A slant face is formed to a head(68) to guide locating the metal ball to the first flow of the screw assembly. The head forms guide passages(70) for guiding the flow of oil toward the inner wall side of the plunger. Therefore, noise of the vehicle is reduced.
