SOUND CARD SUPPORTING INTERNET PHONE FUNCTION

PURPOSE: A sound card supporting the internet phone function is provided to use a general phone as a free internet phone by granting serial numbers for the internet call to the sound card. CONSTITUTION: A sound processor(10) regenerates the sound data derived from a PC mainboard. A memory(20) stores and outputs the serial numbers in case of the internet call. A CPU(30) controls the calling through the serial numbers of the memory. An interface unit(40) interfaces the signal between the CPU and the sound card. A signal converter(50) converts the signal generated from the general phone into the digital data, and outputs the digital data into the CPU. A ring detector(60) detects and outputs a ring signal(access request signal) into the CPU. A hook signal detector(70) detects and outputs a hook signal for the internet call into the CPU.
