PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transmitting and receiving system which uses a surface light-emitting semiconductor laser device chip whose operating voltage, lasing threshold current and the like can be reduced as a light-emitting light source and uses several optical fibers which can be easily assembled and adjusted. SOLUTION: The surface light-emitting semiconductor laser device in which a light-emitting part is grown is directly joined to a position corresponding to the placement of several optical fibers which are two-dimensionally arranged.
