PURPOSE: A method for monitoring the state of a subscriber port using a bug is provided to decrease the waste of a core according to the use of the core by interlocking a timer interrupt function to the bug and collecting the states of the subscriber ports. CONSTITUTION: In a state in which error information is stored in a memory, a user application catches an error information value and judges whether the caught error information value is greater than a reference value for generating an alarm(201). If the error information value is greater than the reference value, the user application recognizes that fault is generated in a subscriber 0 port among subscriber ports(203). The user application reads a bug which counts a value of a timer and checks whether a random time(2 seconds) elapses for grasping a fault generation maintenance time elapses during the random time(204). If the fault is generated in the subscriber 0 port and the fault generation maintenance time elapses, the user application judges whether fault generation information according to previous fault generation is notified to an operator terminal through a subscriber control board(206). If fault generation information according to the previous fault generation is notified to the operator terminal, the user application requests that subscriber information is provided to the subscriber port through the bug(208).
