PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toroidal coil assembly which can be mounted on a wiring board in a stable form with a reduced height of a toroidal core after being mounted. SOLUTION: The toroidal coil assembly comprises a toroidal coil 20 composed of a toroidal core 21 and a winding 22 wound around the core 21, and a terminal base 1 for mounting, supporting and fixing the coil 20. The coil 20 is constituted by winding the winding 22 on the core 21 downside with spacings to avoid interference with the terminal base 1. The base 1 has a support plate 2 comprising a recess 5 formed into the upside deeply enough to partly house the core 21 downside of the coil 20, through-holes 7, 7 bored through the lengthwise ends 6, 6 through which the winding ends 23, 23 of the coil 20 are passed and led out below, and at least one pair of protrusion pieces 3, 3 extending from near the lengthwise ends of the support plate 2 in mutually reverse directions crossing the length of the support plate.
