PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a reel from being inadvertently released from a reel support section without hindering the fitting and removing of the reel. SOLUTION: This tape cutter is provided with the reel support section 10 rotatably and removably supporting the reel 3 wound with an adhesive tape 1 into a roll shape and a cutter 2 located in the front of the reel support section 10 to cut the extraction section of the adhesive tape 1. A bearing groove 13 opened at one end to rotatably and removably support the shaft 4 of the reel 3 is formed on the reel support section 10, and a projection 17, which is elastically deformed to allow the transit of the reel shaft 4 when the reel shaft 4 is inserted into the bearing groove 13 or when the reel shaft 4 is extracted from the bearing groove 13 and blocks the transit of the reel shaft 4 otherwise, is formed on the inside face of the bearing groove 13.
