PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating agent slurry for casting molds having excellent dispersibility of refractory aggregate. SOLUTION: This coating agent slurry contains the refractory aggregate, a binder and an organic solvent as essential components. A rosin denatured resin is used as the binder. More particularly the rosin denatured resin is preferably a rosin denatured maleic resin soluble in alcohol. The acid value of the rosin denatured maleic resin is most preferably >=50 and the softening point thereof is 70 to 200 deg.C. The rosin denatured resin is preferably compounded at 0.1 to 10 parts by mass with 100 parts by mass refractory aggregate. Accordingly, the coating agent slurry prepared by using the rosin denatured resin as the binder is excellent in the dispersibility of the refractory aggregate. The coating film obtained from this coating agent slurry has an effect of hardly degrading its strength.
