PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless communication unit, its communication method, and a storage medium that can enhance the efficiency of data transmission/ reception by optimizing a communication speed in the case of wireless data transmission/reception. SOLUTION: A wireless communication unit 1 makes wireless data transmission/reception to/from a wireless communication unit 3 and network terminals 41, 42 via an access point 2 in the unit of packets or frames and a reception power monitor 111 monitors received power from a received frame through the access point 2. In this case, the reception power monitor 111 discriminates that a communication environment is deteriorated when a value of monitored reception power is a prescribed value or below to control the speed of communication with the access point 2 to be lower, and discriminates that the deteriorated communication environment is recovered when the value of monitored reception power is a prescribed value or over to control the communication speed with the access point 2 to be higher. |
