PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method of obtaining the information about a recording medium and/or an image on a recording medium sheet by sensing one or more chemical compound leached from the recording medium and/or the image on the recording medium. SOLUTION: A coded sheet material includes a sheet material having a first surface, a second surface opposite to the first surface, and an edge extended in the periphery of the material sheet between the first and the second surfaces. The first surface, the second surface and/or the edge have one or more leaching material arranged thereon to code the information about at least one characteristic of the material sheet and/or the image carried thereon. A sheet processing device uses the coded sheet material, and includes a leaching material sensor 38 and a processor. The leaching material sensor senses one or more leaching material, position thereof and/or concentration thereof. The processor communicates with the leaching material sensor, and processes the sheet material on the basis of one or more sensed leaching material, position thereof and/or concentration thereof. |
