PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal device having a wide range for electric wires applicable and allowing wiring of strands. SOLUTION: The terminal device 6 is composed of the channel-shaped parts 13 and 14 of terminal plates 11 and 12 and a lock spring 15. The lock spring 15 has a pressure piece 15c formed in such a curved configuration that the spacing to a center piece 15a becomes narrowest on its side nearer the forefront than the coupling part with the center piece 15a. That is, the relation A>B exists, where A represents the spacing to the center piece 15a from a bent part X of the pressing piece 15c in the direction mating with the center piece 15a while B represents the spacing to the center piece 15a from another bent part Y in the direction going apart from the center piece 15a, and therefore, the dimension from the coupling part of the pressure piece 15c with the center piece 15a to the forefront may be prolonged while a dimensional increase of the whole lock spring 15 is suppressed compared with a conventional arrangement, which allows lowering of the force required to deflect the pressing piece 15c and also dispersion of a concentrated stress on the pressure piece 15c. As a result, it is practicable to widen the range for different electric wires applicable compared with conventional and also make wiring any strand possible.
