PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the easy and reliable rigid-coupling of the heads of a set of two steel pipe piles in a pile combining method for installing a combined pile group composed of the two steel pipe piles in natural ground. SOLUTION: Head rigidly-coupling members 3 and 4 allow the heads of the steel pipe piles 1 and 2 erected in the natural ground to be rigidly coupled together so as to form the combined pile group composed of the two piles 1 and 2. The member 3 (4), formed with a hollow hole approximately in conformity with the shape of the head of the pile 1 (2), is composed of a fitted member 5 (8), which is fitted into the head of the pile 1 (2), and coupling flanges 6 and 7 (9 and 10) installed in the outer surface of the fitted member 5 (8) in two upper and lower steps along the direction of a central axis and formed with a plurality of bolt holes 6a, etc., and 7a, etc., (9a, etc., and 10a, etc.).
