PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for providing machine element performance index information capable of simultaneously providing plural index values expressing the performance of a machine element. SOLUTION: When an information providing program is run, an input picture is displayed on a display part (step 101). A specified name number is inputted on the display part (step 103) and one or plural bearing performance indexes are selected (step 107). When any bearing performance index is selected, the use condition of a required bearing is inputted corresponding top the performance index of the bearing. Next, a performance calculation program corresponding to the selected bearing performance is started (steps 110-1, 110-2...) and the provided calculated result is simultaneously displayed.
