PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper currency processor, capable of fetching paper currency into a paper currency housing part and delivering the paper currency from the paper currency housing part. SOLUTION: This paper currency processor comprises paper currency housing parts 31 and 41 for housing a plurality of paper currency in a piled-up state and taking and delivering mechanisms 34 and 44 provided between them. The taking and delivering mechanisms 34 and 44 comprise feed belts 342 and 442; feed rollers 340 and 440 arranged on the carrying mechanism-side end parts of the feed belts 342 and 442; stopping rollers 343 and 443 arranged above the feed rollers 340 and 440; and separating rollers 334 and 444 arranged in the positions closer to the paper currency housing parts 31 and 41 from the stop rollers 343 and 443 above the feed belts 342 and 442.
