PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner which can save the quantity of power consumed at air cleaning operation without scarifying the effect of air cooling operation much. SOLUTION: This air conditioner is equipped with a controller 21 which continues the operation of a minus ion generator 16 though it stops the operation of an air cleaner 15, when it is judged that indoor air is not contaminated based on the detection results of contamination sensors 13 and 14 for detection of the contamination of the indoor air, in air cleaning operation mode to drive the air cleaner 15 and the minus ion generator 16. |
