PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage truck capable of preventing the occurrence of an explosion accident and a fire accident when a vessel such as combustible gas remaining cassette cylinder, spray can and disposable lighter is mixed in garbage. SOLUTION: In this garbage truck having a garbage box 3 mounted on a vehicle 1 and a rear door 4 for blocking up a rear opening part 12 of the garbage box 3 and constituted so as to load the garbage inputted from an input port 11 arranged in the rear door 4 in the garbage box 3, the garbage truck is characterized by having a combustible gas detecting means 16 for detecting combustible gas blown off from the cassette cylinder mixed in the garbage and a control means 21 for stopping loading processing of the garbage by a detecting signal of the combustible gas detecting means 16.
