PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an antenna, whose interval is narrower than the wavelength, and whose directivity is equivalent to that of an array antenna whose wavelength interval is about equal to half that of the normal one. SOLUTION: The interval of element antennas is arranged with an interval, which is 1/n of the synchronous wavelength of the antenna, and a receiver is connected to the respective output terminals of those element antennas. The receiver is provided with a function of multiplying the frequencies of a received signal by 'n', and for following up the level change of the element output in this compact array antenna.
