PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insecticidal mat to be used with a portable thermal dissipation device and continuing the insecticidal activity for >=8 hr in open space and provide a thermal dissipation method for killing insects by using the mat. SOLUTION: The insecticidal mat is a fibrous mat having a size of 1,000-2,500 mm2, containing 250-600 of allethrin as an insecticidal component, 600-1,000 mg of piperonyl butoxide as an evaporation suppressing agent and 10-100 mg of at least one compound selected from 2,5-di-t-butylhydroquinone, 3,5-di-t-butyl-4- hydroxytoluene and 3-t-butyl-4-hydroxyanisole per one sheet and used by placing on a hot plate of a portable thermal dissipation device. The hot plate has a size of 1,000-2,500 mm2, the temperature of the center part is 150-190 deg.C and the temperature difference between the center part and the edge part is <=10 deg.C. The invention also relates to a thermal dissipation method for killing insects by using the insecticidal mat.
