PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform initialization of a nurse call system by means of a power source unit having a small capacity. SOLUTION: In the nurse call system, master nurse call devices 1a-1d and slave devices 4a-4d are connected to a controller 2 and each master device is provided with a calling room number indicator light 13 for indicating calling room numbers on the slave devices 4a-4d; kind-of-call indicator light 13 for indicating the kinds of the calls from the slave devices 4a-4d; function indicator light 16b for indicating functions, such as the calling delay, etc.; communication circuit 17 for communicating with the lighting and control devices of the indicator lights 13, 15b, and 16b; transmitting and receiving circuit 18 for having conversations with the slave devices 4a-4d; CPU 12 which performs control; and power source unit 11 which supplies electric power to the lights 13, 15b, and 16b, circuits 17 and 18, and CPU 12. At the time of confirming the lighting of the indicator lights 13, 15b, and 16b when the master devices 1a-1d are initialized by controlling the power supply to the device 1a-1d by means of controllers, the CPU 12 performs control so that the lights 13, 15b, and 16b may be turned on dynamically by dividing the lighting confirmation.
