The invention relates to a process for storing and conveying the phenol in the liquid phase, at temperatures lower than the phenol chilling temperature, consisting in dissolving the phenol in water, up to a phenol concentration of 70...80% by weight, thereby resulting an aqueous phenol solution, the pH value being further corrected using an alkaline solution, in order to allow the phenol to be stored and conveyed through pipelines in liquid phase, at temperatures higher than 3...5 degree C, but lower than the phenol melting temperature, without using thermal agents.
