PERFUME COMPOSITIONS SUBSTANTIALLY ALCOHOL-FREE

The present invention relates water-based novel perfume compositions which are substantially alcohol-free. According to the invention, the novel perfume comprises the following main constituents (by weight): up to 30 % of a fragrance oil solution; up to 0.4 % of acrylic polymer containing between 10 to 30 carbon atoms and at least one monomer selected from acrylic acid, methacrilic acid and ester thereof, cros-linked with an ether selected from alkyl ether, allyl ether of sucrose and allyl ether of pentaerythritol. A method for the preparation of perfume compositions possessing the desired properties is also described.
