PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain the compatibility of the reduction of the rotating torque of a magnetic disk medium with the cleanability of the magnetic disk medium by liners. SOLUTION: In fixing the liners 5 facing the disk-shaped magnetic disk medium 4 to the inside surface of a case C by joining an upper shell half 1 which rotatably houses the disk-shaped magnetic disk medium 4 with a lower shell half 2, the effective internal space (s) indicating the substantial spacing of the upper and lower liners 5 is so set as to attain H<=0.1 when the frequency H of the error occurrence after impact is imparted to the magnetic disk cartridge is expressed by the number of sheets with which the errors occur/the number of the evaluated sheets.
