PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk reproducing device free from fault in track jump operation even if an optical disk is inferior in quality, as for the optical disk reproducing device provided with an optical pick-up for optically reproducing a signal recorded as a pit string in the optical disk. SOLUTION: After detecting the completion of the focusing operation of the optical pickup, this optical disk reproducing device performs offset for lowering a signal level by a prescribed quantity to an RF signal to be generated based on the output signal of the optical pickup. Then, based on the phase difference between the bottom variation of the RF signal with offset and a TE signal variation, track jump operation is controlled.
