The seal consists of an inflatable tube (3) located in a channel (4) in the edge of the door (1) and having a projecting supple and deformable strip (7). The channel has a slightly tapering U-shaped cross-section to accommodate the tube and seal strip and to allow the tube to inflate evenly. The strip is made from an elastomer-type material and is designed to press tightly against the adjacent surfaces of the door frame (2) and sill to prevent water penetration. The seal system can be operated automatically by a sensor and control unit. |
