PURPOSE: To provide a new electrostatic coating apparatus, a rotary atomizer therefor and their combination with which the problems in the industry are improved and settled. CONSTITUTION: The electrostatic coating apparatus has a rotary atomizer formed of a nonconductor main-body member, an opening is provided on the outer end of the member, a semiconductor member is arranged on the side part of the member, a first lip devoid of the semiconductor member is arranged around the opening of the main-body member close to the outer end of the member, and a second lip is set between the first lip and the inner end of the main-body member and on the outside of the first lip in the radial direction.
