PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of obtaining a stable first copying time in the case of starting the following image forming operation based on the detection of an image positioning mark even under a condition provided with plural kinds of process linear velocity. SOLUTION: Under the condition provided with plural kinds of process linear velocity capable of dealing with various kinds of resolution changes, etc., a stoppage timing (DL-L 9 portion) of stopping a drum motor for an image carrier, etc., in accordance with the process linear velocity at the stoppage is changed with giving considerations to the actual deviation in accordance with the process linear velocity. For example, when the linear velocity is 156 mm/s, the motor is stopped after 365 ms elapse after turning off a paper transfer charger, but, when the linear velocity is 104 mm/s, the motor is stopped at the point of time of 727.5 ms which is obtained by adding the actual deviation of 180 ms to the one and half times as much as the ratio of the linear velocity, that is, 547.5 ms. Then, the stable first copying time is maintained in the case of starting the following image forming operation based on the detection of the image positioning mark on the intermediate transfer body. |
