PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a removing tool for a moving handrail of a passenger conveyer capable of easily removing a moving handrail from a guide rail. SOLUTION: A C-shaped opening of the moving handrail 3 having a C-shaped cross section is movably fit around a horizontal portion 5 of the T shape of the guide rail 4 with T-shaped cross section. The removing tool 10 comprises a bar type main body 11, a hooking part 12 formed by bending one end of the main body 11 toward one side in a longitudinal direction, a first grip 13 located between the other end of the main body 11 and the hooking part 12 and protruding toward the opposite side of the hooking part 12, and a second grip 14 located at the other end of the main body 11. By inserting the hooking part 12 into a gap between a portion connecting the vertical portion 6 and the horizontal portion 5 of the T shape of the guide rail 4 and the moving handrail 3, and turning the main body 11 in a direction in which the opening part of the cross section of the moving handrail 3 is enlarged, the longitudinal end of the moving handrail 3 is removed from the guide rail 4.
