PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use a display device without actual hindrance even if it has defective pixels and an incomplete display device by storing coordinate values and attributes of the defective pixels of the display device in a file and controlling them. SOLUTION: When a window is set, a window managing software (a window manager) on a CPU reads a defective pixel control table, opens the window by avoiding the defective pixels according to their defective attributes, or processes the shifted the window. For example, a window W1' opened by a user is displaced downward left in parallel on a display screen W0 so as not to include the defective position N inside thereof, and thereby the window manager newly sets another window W1.
