PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake for a bicycle making the head part of a pivot invisible on the front face of a lever. SOLUTION: The brake lever is rotatably connected to the pivot 4 in the brake for a bicycle. The pivot 4 has the head part 4a at its end part. The pivot head part 4a is stored in a stop hole formed on the lever 2 and opened on the rear wall side of the lever. The pivot head part 4a is held in the axial direction at a state in contact with the bottom part of the stop hole 8 in it by a bush 9 exteriorly fitted with the pivot 4 and screwed into the screwed portion of the stop hole 8.
