PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magneto-optical recording medium which can be subjected to stable continuous recording by near-field magneto-optical recording. SOLUTION: At least a reflecting layer, recording layer, lower dielectric layer, upper dielectric layer and solid lubricative layer are stacked in this order on a substrate, the thermal conductivity of the upper dielectric layer is made higher than that of the lower dielectric layer and the total thickness of the lower and upper dielectric layers and the solid lubricative layer is adjusted to be 90 nm or larger.
