PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device of high switching speed and capable of emitting various colors of light in line shape or a rod shape, and a play machine using the same. SOLUTION: This lighting device is constructed is such a manner that a light from a light source unit 11 is introduced into a light transmission tube 1 and that the light is irradiated from a side peripheral surface of the light transmission tube 1. Plural light emitting diodes 12, 13, 14 are provided in the light transmission tube 1 in such a manner that plural light emitting diodes 12, 13, 14 is facing to an end surface of the light transmission tube 1. The light transmission tube 1 has a belt shaped reflection layer 4 extending in a longitudinal direction of the tube formed between a core 2 and a tube shaped clad 3 to cover it. The light transmission tube 1 of the lighting device 10 is arranged along an upper side part of a display part 75 of a system component stereo 70. |
