The slat roof has a number of parallel slats (1) which can swing on axes, parallel to their long sides, between open and closed positions. In the closed setting, the leading edge of each slat (1) covers the trailing edge of the preceding slat. An upright cover plate (3) is along the lateral side at one slat (1), with a base plate (4) to carry a moving plate (5), to shroud the open sides of the closed slat roof, and conceal the operating mechanism. The base plate (4) and the moving plate (5) are injection molded plastics components.
