PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk reproducing device capable of shortening the time before reading out of data is started after the rotation of a disk type recording medium is started. SOLUTION: When there is a read request to the disk reproducing device 100 from a navigation device 200 while the rotation of the disk 10 is held stopped, a main controller 60 sends a start instruction to a servo controller 38 to increase the number of revolutions of a spindle motor 34 until the target number of revolutions is attained. The main controller 60 sets the bias voltage to be impressed to a PLL circuit 50 at two stages, high and low, and controls the voltages in such a manner that the PLL circuit 50 attains a synchronization state in the low state of the number of revolutions of the disk.
