PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drainage instrument 3 with which overflowed water flows smoothly, without adjusting matching locations of a socket 11 of a drainage instrument 3 and a flowing port 9 of an overflow adapter 8. SOLUTION: In this drainage instrument, a relation between a width W of a circular side wall 12 at a closed part of a socket 11 of overflowed water in a drainage instrument 3 and an internal diameter D at a flowing port 9 in an overflow adapter, is designed as W<D, a relation between a width W of the circular side wall 12 and a width H of an overflow socket 11 as W<H. Wherever one of the circular side wall 12 having the width of W is located, not a larger internal diameter than D at the flowing port 9 is led by this device and overflowed water in a basin is prevented from flooding by making overflowed water flow smoothly into the drainage instrument 3.
