PURPOSE: A duplicated system using the state information of the other side is provided to implement a simple and reliable duplication function through the hardware of a simple logic using a side discrimination signal, an off signal, a fail signal, etc., without the necessity of specially making necessary signals for duplication. CONSTITUTION: In order to divide two boards(1,2) on a backboard in a hardware way, GND and Vcc respectively are allocated to define a board installed on the left as an A-side board(1) and a board installed on the right as an B-side board(1). In order to detect fail between them, a ground edge pin and a self-fail signal edge pin in the A-side board(1) respectively are allocated to an other-off signal edge pin and an other-fail signal edge pin in the B-side board(2). Also a ground edge pin and a self-fail signal edge pin in the B-side board(2) respectively are allocated to an other-off signal edge pin and an other-fail signal edge pin in the A-side board(1).
